Influence of Temperature Regimes of Synthetic Iron Smelting on Casting Production Efficiency

The purpose of the foundry is to provide consumer with blanks for general machine-building (special) purposes which are as close possible size future part in full compliance requirements. competitiveness these products primarily dependent on use efficient and reliable smelting equipment meets necessary cost. replacement high-value ironworks iron steel scrap using induction melting furnaces (ICFs) reduces cost producing synthetic cast iron. However, this results temperatures greater than 1500 °C, reduced lining stability increased downtime smelter. As a result research carried out, technology quartzite proposed. Thereby, work establish temperature regimes pig iron, allowing metal filling up 70–90% scrap; leads reduction purchasing bulk materials (depending brand iron) 50% and, thus, increases efficiency castings production general. After removal original moisture subsequent sintering manufactured lining, it provides possibility 1550–1600 °C. It operation eliminates consumption blast furnace, well lost alloy. result, metallurgical will be able reduce volume supply ironworks, improve their environmental situation during processing raw materials.
